Delete a track
Delete a track from the Music section
Open the artist page management area, go to Music and choose Delete for the relevant track. The interface asks for confirmation before continuing.
What deletion does
Deletion removes the track record from the page and deletes the audio file hosted by NoyzHub.
For a standalone track, its local artwork is also deleted. For a release-linked track, NoyzHub removes the link between the audio file and the discography entry, but does not automatically delete the entire album, EP or single.
Delete or disable?
Disable a track when you want to:
- hide it temporarily;
- correct information before making it public again;
- prepare a replacement audio file;
- keep it in the management area.
Delete it when you no longer want to keep the track on NoyzHub.
Can deletion be reversed?
Deletion is not an archive. To restore the track later, you will need to upload it again with an MP3 file and the required information.
Always keep your original audio, artwork and release information in your own backup.
Effect on plays and favorites
Deletion removes the content to which its activity was attached. Do not rely on recovering the previous history after creating a new upload.
When you only need to replace the audio version while keeping the track, use Edit instead.
Release-linked tracks
After deleting a linked track, the discography entry may become available for association with another audio file. Review the Discography section and the public page afterwards.
Free a position within the five-track limit
Deleting a title frees one position under the current limit of five tracks per page. Do not delete a track merely to replace its MP3, as the edit function already supports file replacement.
If a track was deleted by mistake
Prepare the MP3, artwork and information again and recreate the track. Report a technical issue when the result does not match the action you confirmed, but the interface does not announce an automatic restoration function.
