Which audio formats are accepted?

Updated on 20/07/2026
NoyzHub currently accepts MP3 files only, with a maximum size of 15 MB per track. The uploaded file must be recognized as a genuine MP3 audio file.

Currently accepted audio format

To publish a track from the Music section of an artist page, NoyzHub currently accepts MP3 files only.

WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG and other formats are not accepted by the current upload form, even when some devices can play them.

Maximum file size

Each MP3 file must be no larger than 15 MB. Empty files and files above this limit are rejected.

If your export exceeds 15 MB, create a new MP3 version using a bitrate suitable for online listening. Listen to the entire exported file before uploading it to make sure there are no cuts or excessive quality problems.

File type verification

Simply changing a file extension is not enough. NoyzHub also checks whether the uploaded content is recognized as an MP3 audio file.

A file renamed from “track.wav” to “track.mp3” without actual conversion will normally be rejected.

Prepare the MP3 correctly

  • export the track from your audio software as a real MP3 file;
  • listen to the final file from beginning to end;
  • check that it does not exceed 15 MB;
  • use a simple filename and do not rely on it for the public track title;
  • enter the title directly in NoyzHub.

Artwork format

Artwork is separate from the audio file. For a standalone track, it can be uploaded as JPG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB. Square artwork is recommended.

When a track is linked to a discography release, the artwork is automatically taken from that release.

Replace an audio file

When editing a track, leave the MP3 field empty to keep the current file. Any replacement file must follow the same rules: a valid MP3 no larger than 15 MB.

If the file is rejected

Check the extension, file size and actual conversion first. If a valid MP3 within the limit is still rejected, use the feedback or bug report form and include the browser used and the displayed error message.
