How do music charts work?
The different NoyzHub music rankings
NoyzHub uses validated plays to present popular tracks and create selected charts. Several ranking areas exist and should not be confused.
Most-listened-to tracks
In the Listen-page feed, the Most listened section ranks active tracks according to their validated play counter.
Music search also provides a Popular sort based on the same counter, followed by the track creation date when required.
New releases are not a popularity chart
The New releases tab sorts tracks by their entered release date or the date they were added. A recent track can therefore appear near the top without having many plays yet.
The monthly listening Top
NoyzHub creates a separate ranking for the previous calendar month using the Europe/Paris time zone. The current snapshot keeps the three tracks with the highest number of validated plays during that period.
The monthly Top is generated after the new month begins. Saved results remain connected to that period even while general play counters continue to change.
The monthly number-one badge
The track ranked first in the monthly Top receives a visible NoyzHub distinction. The badge can list multiple months won by the same track.
Which plays are used?
Only plays marked as valid by the system are included. A simple click, repeated refreshing or a very short playback does not necessarily increase a ranking.
Charts and active tracks
Public lists display active tracks that still have an audio file. A disabled title no longer appears as an available track in these discovery areas.
Difference from the Music Awards
Music Awards are contests organized during a defined period with their own entries, rules and rewards. Their ranking is separate from the monthly Top and the popular-tracks section.
The rules announced for each edition always take priority.
Does a chart position guarantee promotion?
The monthly Top and selected contests may include a distinction or specific promotion. Simply appearing among popular tracks does not automatically guarantee a reward.
Use charts for discovery
Charts are a starting point for discovering artists. Open the track page and then the artist profile to explore the rest of the catalogue and upcoming concerts.
