How do you create an EPK for free?
What is an EPK?
An electronic press kit is a concise presentation for venues, festivals, media and potential partners. Its job is not to tell every detail of your history. It should let a professional understand the project quickly and find the right assets.
An EPK can be a web page, a lightweight PDF or both. An online page is easier to update, while a PDF can still be useful when a recipient specifically asks for an attachment.
What to include
- one sentence explaining the genre, location and current project;
- a short biography and a longer optional version;
- two or three downloadable press photos with credits;
- one or two representative tracks and a recent live video;
- selected shows, support slots, press coverage or other relevant proof;
- one clearly labelled booking or press contact.
Use a NoyzHub page as the foundation
A NoyzHub artist page can centralize your biography, music, discography, videos, members, social links, contacts and dates. It gives you one public link that is easy to send and update without rebuilding the whole kit.
NoyzHub is not presented as a PDF or technical-rider generator. If a venue needs a stage plot, technical rider or high-resolution photo folder, host those files separately and include a clear link in your message.
Tailor the EPK to the recipient
For a venue, lead with the live video, set length, relevant shows and booking contact. For media, emphasize the current release, story, visuals and credits. One link with three personalized lines is more useful than a generic kit sent without context.
Check everything before sending
- test every link in a private browser window;
- check that images and audio load on a phone;
- remove expired dates and claims you cannot verify;
- give files and contacts clear names;
- show when the kit was last updated.
Keep the EPK short and credible
Avoid unsupported superlatives, very long biographies and oversized attachments. Select a small number of strong, consistent assets. Update the kit after an important release, video or run of shows.
